Wedding Couples Share Their Wedding Dance Journey
Wedding dance lessons offer a unique opportunity to create lasting memories, extend the joy of your wedding day, and share a beautiful, surprise moment with your guests.

We would love to introduce you to our fantastic wedding couples. We talked to them about their experience and asked them to give a piece of advice to other wedding couples out there.
Max & Alex

Max & Alex came to the studio looking to choreograph a dance in a fairly short time frame. We only had four weeks before the big day. This was a destination wedding happening in Italy. Max did not have any previous dance experience, Alex took some classes when she was a kid. Our objective was to prepare a solid dance with some nice elements to show the personalities of the bride and groom.

Q: What supported your decision to take wedding dance lessons?
Max: We didn’t have much time before our wedding, but we really wanted to put together a neat dance. Alex has wanted us to take some dance lessons for a long time. So we figured what better excuse than our wedding?

Alex: I always wanted to learn swing because my grandmother was a swing dancer. We are lucky enough to have almost all of our grandparents with us, they will be at the wedding. So this was something special that pushed us towards taking dance lessons.

Q: What is your favorite part about dance lessons now?
Alex: I love the freedom of expression. We put together a dance that we can express ourselves through. I love how it makes us feel. It requires some work, but it allows you to bring out an artistic side of you. Besides, one of the most important things is that it brings you together more as a couple. It’s a different kind of intimacy.

Max: This was the first time for me to do a dance lesson. Now I’m hooked, it’s so much fun. It’s a true mental challenge, like any other sport, but that’s the part that I love the most about it.
Q: How do you feel after taking wedding dance lessons?
Alex: We definitely feel much more confident. We appreciate that every time we come for a lesson, the instructor always has a point or two to improve. There’s no endpoint, and we can always make it better.
Q: What piece of advice could you give to other wedding couples?
Max: Don’t overthink it and go for it! If you are still deciding and doubting that you can put together a dance, just look at us. We had only about a month, and the instructor worked with us considering our time frame and requests. Now we feel confident and excited. We have this amazing memory about our wedding preparation.
Justin & Jennifer

Justin and Jennifer came to the studio only three and a half weeks away from their wedding day. They had no previous experience, but a strong motivation to create a dance to surprise their guests. They wanted to combine romantic and fun styles to make it more unique and original. Their dedication paid off, and the final result looked fabulous.

Q: Why did you decide to take dance lessons for your wedding?
Jennifer: We decided very last minute, we didn’t want to look like middle-schoolers just rocking back and forward. We wanted to look good and surprise our family. They had absolutely no idea that we were preparing a wedding dance!
Q: What did you enjoy the most about dancing?
Justin: I’ve never danced before and never thought I could do that. The biggest benefit I got from the lessons is confidence going forward. It’s even beyond just the wedding dance. Now I feel more comfortable dancing at social events, whether it’s a party or a cruise.

Jennifer: For me it was the connection between me and Justin. We had to learn how to lead and follow, listen to each other. We definitely got a lot of date nights before the wedding!
Q: How do you feel after the set of dance lessons?
Jennifer: We feel much more confident and are excited to perform our surprise dance. We got to practice our wedding choreography in front of the audience at one of the studio events - Wine & Dance, which helped us to overcome the fear of performing. Other students came up to us and said how much they enjoyed the dance, and they didn’t even know us. Imagine what would our families say!
Q: What is one piece of advice that you can give to other wedding couples?
Justin: We would recommend starting wedding lessons sooner. We had about four weeks and had to come two or three times a week. So if you don’t have that opportunity, plan on starting earlier.

No matter if you do not have dance experience or your deadline is tight, believe our wedding couples - you can do it! And we will help you with the whole process.
